Team, I have exciting news! We are pleased to announce that we have merged with the Ronin Refugee Project. Together we will fulfill our mission of supporting our nation’s wartime allies and bring a united veteran’s voice to the issue. Over the last year, the Ronin Refugee Project has identified multiple allies in need. Through the short film, The Captain’s Story, in collaboration with National Geographic, they have shown the desperate struggle of our first Ronin, the Captain. Since February, together, we have screened this film at the U.S. Capitol as well as the G.I. Film Festival. We have already been accepted into three other festivals for rest of the year. We will continue to tell the Captain’s story until he and his family are safely resettled. After nearly two years of waiting, the Captain has now secured his Refugee Status. As an official refugee, the fear that he or his family would have to return to Iraq is gone. He is now awaiting acceptance into the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program where he may one day be able to come to the United States. All of our efforts have helped move the Captain’s case forward. During the last year we have realized that the Captain’s struggle is faced by many other of our allies throughout the world. Thus, we have joined forces with Team Ronin and together we are best positioned to keep America's promise to its wartime allies. Team Ronin already has personnel forward deployed to Greece where we are actively monitoring our wartime allies as they attempt to migrate to safety in Europe. Many are former translators who have long given up hope that we will deliver on the promise of visas we made so many years ago. Our Team Ronin partners are delivering the message that, thanks to you, America will keep its promise. To help kick off this new effort, we are excited to announce that Jimmy Dunne, CEO of Sandler O’Neill has become a supporter of the No One left Behind team. On 9/11, Sandler O’Neill lost over 70 employees in the World Trade Center attacks. He gets our mission on a fundamental level. He wants to help. Thus, Mr. Dunne has graciously offered to match each $ dollar donation up to $200,000 that we raise between now and October 1st. If you are planning on donating to our cause this year, now is the time - Mr. Dunne will match your donation. We need all the help we can get. Currently, for every family we are able to assist, we have to turn away ten other families because we don't have the resources to properly help them. Mr. Dunne's generous gift represents a real opportunity to make a marked impact on the torrent of people pleading for our aid. Please help us reach the $200,000 by donating here: https://web.charityengine.net/default.aspx?tsid=5274 -Cheers, Matt
