Letter to the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister: Thank you Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Foreign Minister Marise Payne for standing by the people of Myanmar. • Extending Temporary Visa to Myanmar citizens in Australia so they would not be forced in returning to the tumultuous situation in Myanmar. • Repeatedly urging the Myanmar Junta to actively engage with ASEAN and implement the 5 point consensus, including the immediate cessation of violence. • Long-standing arms embargo against Myanmar Junta. • Careful ongoing consideration of additional sanctions against Myanmar Junta. • Establishing the independent investigative mechanism of Myanmar, to collect, collate and preserve evidence of Myanmar Junta atrocities and international crimes, all for future justice processes. • Provision of assistance for communities within Myanmar across the ethnic groups, and Christian minorities. • Increasing the intake of humanitarian cases to previous levels. The humanitarian crisis continues to deteriorate within Myanmar, on the Thai border, and India border.
