This is just a quickie to say thank you to Hoggiewarts - a rescue in Wellingborough for helping guide developers Dandara into the light! 

This news piece popped up - and while some of the figures are a bit wonky (total number of hedgehogs killed on the roads is not 167,000 per year) - what is absolutely spot on is getting developers to do this for themselves ...

The purpose of the petition is to try and get change at the government level - but what I am increasingly finding is that the real value of this petition is in that it gives you the sense that there is a great tide of support when they approach a developer. 

So please - if and when you see a development springing up near where you live, reach out to them. You might be surprised at how willing they are to listen. It is almost zero cost for them yet has the potential to really help hedgehogs.

And just a warning - the next update - planned for Monday 5th - is going to be a little different - something personal.
