Hedgehog Awareness Week continues to bundle along - so forgive another update so soon. This one is mainly to remind you of tonight's event ... free and still tickets to book ... An Evening with Hedgehog Street.

One of the people speaking tonight is the remarkable Jo Wilkinson. She is the dynamo who created Hedgehog Friendly Campus. The project started in Sheffield University, I was there at the launch, before spreading to Universities around the country ... now it has branched out to primary schools and FE colleges ... if you are involved with any of these institutions, have a look at the work they do. It is so important to encourage land managers to 'think hedgehog' when it comes to how they work ... and it is also important to encourage the people who benefit from the schools and universities to be more hedgehog conscious ... everything from litter picking to undertaking research!

Today's image comes from Irony - and was found on a wall in Bristol by Sarah ... while she was lost! It was part of Upfest and a reason to undertake a pilgrimage to Bristol!

I have, as many of you will know, been a little hammered by my hernia operation - or rather, as has been pointed out (a lot!!!) I might have been a little presumptuous in my rate of recovery! I am much better today but still aiming to do VERY little apart from preparing for tonight's event. But I really wanted to thank you - the comments that have come my way wishing me well, both on here and on the coffee me-funding page - have been truly heart-warming.
