Collaboration - that is the key (and when I look towards the entrenched positions in Westminster I feel that all the more!) Broadly, we have far more in common than we have as grounds for conflict .... aghhh - must stop being distracted by the flibberdegibbets of Parliament and get back to the important stuff ... hedgehogs ...

So - collaboration - that is what I was going to talk about .. the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and the Peoples Trust for Endangered Species recognised that there was much to be gained by sharing resources and expertise. In 2011 we launched the Hedgehog Street campaign - and have been thrilled by the progress. As I write we are nearly at 60,000 households who have signed up - committing to make an effort to help.

But what to do to help? There are many things that we could consider - so how to choose? Well, there is now a short film showing you things that we can do - or if we are unable to do them ourselves, at least things to prod the more able to do! 

Here it is - Hedgehog Street TOP TEN TIPS - have a watch, see what you can do - see what you can get your neighbours to do - and see what their neighbours can do too! Spread hedgehog love down your Hedgehog Street ... and maybe start planning a Hedgehog Street Party for the summer!
