First - and apology. I have only just found out that there are comments beneath the updates I send out. I had felt like no one was listening - and now I know that hundreds - maybe thousands really are ... I am going through them as fast as I can but it is taking a long time - THANK YOU for caring so much about hedgehog and this petition.
Now to the update proper - The wonderful Nick Cope, formally of the Candyskins, is now the country's leading musical act for children. It was a sad day when my children were no longer providing me with the excuse to go and see him entertain! Anyway, he has a new album about to be launched. And I recommend it to you ... for one OBVIOUS reason!
A little background. We are both regulars at the best of festivals - Wood - there would a riot if he was not there to thrill the little ones - and I like to think that my small stage - Kindling - would be missed if it were not there too!
Each year, Wood Festival has an animal theme and in 2017 it was The Year of the Hedgehog! And Nick was asked to write a song ... and he scouted around for a name that would work. Have you heard about Hugh? is a fantastic song - there is drama, there is love and there is a really sound comment on the threats our beloved hedgehogs face ... and now an album of the same title is about to hit the streets.
And as we are entering the dark days that demand we think of Christmas ... I will also point you (not to my books this time) but to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society - and their Hogalogue ... all of your gift-needs met in one easy place!
As ever, thank you, again, and PLEASE do keep sharing this petition around to all your friends - I had a meeting with change.org at the end of last week and we are plotting ... the next stage ... so keep in touch!
