After months of relentless fighting, Aimeé was finally allowed to see her beloved dogs. What she found was devastating. Faustino’s once vibrant yellow coat has turned white, and all three—Uma, Sukha, and Faustino—are severely malnourished and infested with ticks. Due to the deplorable conditions of their current environment, they have contracted serious tick-borne infectious diseases.
All three dogs have tested positive for anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis, and, tragically, Uma has also contracted canine distemper virus (CDV). Uma is in critical condition, hospitalised with a very slim chance of survival. She is extremely weak, refusing to eat, and has required multiple transfusions just to stay alive. Despite ongoing medical interventions, her condition continues to deteriorate.
Today, Aimeé has been desperately requesting information about Uma’s health, but the facility has refused to provide any updates. This lack of transparency is deeply alarming and raises serious concerns about the care Uma and the other dogs are receiving.
This horrific situation is a direct result of the neglect by those responsible for their care. Tick-borne infections like ehrlichiosis and anaplasmosis could have been prevented, as could the distemper virus. Tick infestations pose a significant health risk not only to the dogs but also to humans, including the facility’s staff, who may develop serious conditions such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, or anaplasmosis, with the same severity as seen in animals.
These dogs have been subjected to abuse and neglect. We need your support now more than ever. This situation is a gross failure of care and responsibility. Let’s demand justice for Uma, Sukha, and Faustino. Together, we can ensure this kind of neglect never happens again.

Ehrlichiosis is a tick-borne disease affecting both humans and dogs. Early symptoms may include fever, chills, severe headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of apetite, confussion, If not treated promptly, ehrlichiosis can lead to severe illness, including brain or nervous system damage, respiratory failure, uncontrolled bleeding, organ failure and even death.
What is Anaplasmosis?
Anaplasmosis is another tick-borne disease that typically manifests 1–2 weeks after a tick bite. Early symptoms include fever, chills, severe headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of apetite and, if untreated, severe symptoms may develop, such as respiratory failure, bleeding issues, organ failure and even death
What is Canine Distemper (CDV)?
Canine distemper is a highly contagious viral disease affecting dogs’ respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. Symptoms include eye and nose discharge, fever, coughing, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea. Neurological signs may follow: walking in circles, muscle twitches, seizures, partial or complete paralysis. It spreads through airborne particles or shared food and water bowls.
