Hi everyone! The trap is finally made. Myself and a friend made a Missy Trap - a true entity. It is truly a Copyright trap for skittish dogs. The trap was set last night. She did not enter it. That also means she did not eat. I was there this am 08 29 2026 to set out food in the trap. The is now open for Halo to enter to eat. THE TRAP IS NOT SET. Right now, the main goal is to acclimate her to the trap and allow her to eat. Being that she is quite resilient, which I love about her, she will acclimate to it. In two days, I can envision setting the trap. If it takes a day or longer, that is fine. I am going one day at a time. The trap is made of 5ft no climb fencing. The trap door is on the right. The trigger is the wooden square w chicken on it. I have a cellular camera on the trap. There is plenty of room for her to walk around inside the area of the fence. The last month has been trying as I have gone the five people who were going to be hired to make the trap door. None of them worked out. I’ve got it done and here we are. As you can see in the pic, Halo is looking fantastic! She has her heartworm medicine. She’s dewormed. She’s free of fleas and ticks. Shes eating six cups a day of 28% protein. She’s looking great for a dog out on her own. She’s a tall dog. I’m so proud of her. All I need is for her to acclimate to entering the fencing. Then, the trap will be set again.
