We have two quick announcements to make regarding our campaign to promote responsible, transparent and environmentally sensitive planning in Northern Ireland.
First, the warmest of thanks to all 5,000+ of you who have now taken the time to sign the petition and show your support for this campaign. The unprecedented level of support and interest shown for our truly unique corner of the world has given us the energy to pursue what has, at times, been an arduous journey. After two years of campaigning, we look forward to finally getting the opportunity to take our case to the High Court in Belfast over three days (September 19th-21st) and believe the case we will present is a strong one.
However, before that, we will be celebrating Rostrevor’s unique natural environment with a night of music, song, poetry, visual arts, talks and discussion at a RARE Night to Remember! This will be the first in a series of RARE events to develop an ongoing community conversation towards meaningful action to save the environment from those who, in the name of development, object to the laws which have been put in place to protect it. The event will be held this evening in Rostrevor, Saturday September 8th (apologies for the very short notice!) and further details can be viewed at the link below.
