Thank you for supporting and sharing our petition!

The community has come together to achieve so much in the fight against the City of Toronto’s plan to convert 629 Adelaide Street West into an 80-person 24-hour low barrier walk-in respite site.

Niagara Neighbours for Community Safety (NNCS) aims to get our message out at every opportunity and enact change.

In just five weeks:

- Hundreds of emails have been sent and innumerable calls have been made
- We held five successful community rallies
- We landed major local media placements
- Dozens of letters have been sent to City Council and are now on the public record
- 10 supporters deputed at the City’s Economic, Community, and Development Committee on Oct. 24
- More than a dozen supporters attended the Toronto City Council Meeting on Nov. 8
- Our NNCS letter was posted as part of the Toronto City Council Meeting’s public agenda on Nov. 8

We remain committed to fighting for our community, are working very hard on next steps, and very much appreciate all who have participated and helped thus far.

Let’s keep fighting together.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes and we want to keep you in the loop.
