many thanks for signing and supporting this petition. Since this was published there has been a great deal of assistance provided to the community from outside the county. Many thanks to the fire brigades who supported the local fire brigades. 

I understand the Mayor of Whitby is also looking into support for the brave farmers and volunteers.

I think the devastation has upset us all and we give much thanks to our local community for all their efforts to stop the fire from spreading further.
