Dear Awesome Friends, Family and Amazing Supporters, We’re sorry that not been able to update you for a while. This is because we've STILL been desperately fighting to get our son the help and support he so desperately needed. It’s been a very long, winding and arduous road, but we are deeply thankful and relieved to say that at last Matthew is getting autism-specific care and appropriate support! Matthew is no longer in a hospital and his care has been transformed. He is no longer restrained, sedated or secluded. Instead, he is thriving and no longer prescribed anti-psychotic medication. Matthew is living proof that people with autism and / or LD do not belong in hospitals and institutions. To find out more, please watch Dispatches 10pm tomorrow (Wednesday 1 March) on Channel 4.
