Shocking News: Bishop Alan Gates Hires Perjuring Priest Bob Malm as Interim Rector

Friends,
Sometimes, you have to just shake your head in amazement.
Not only has the Episcopal bishop of Massachusetts, Alan Gates, taken a pass on Bob Malm’s perjury, but now he has signed a contract with him to serve as interim rector of St. Peter’s on-the-Canal, in Bourne Massachusetts.
For the record, I can understand taking a cautious approach when someone accuses clergy of engaging in illegal conduct. Illegal, as in perjury.
But ignoring the welfare of the members of St. Peter’s is unconscionable. Given that there are unresolved civil claims against Bob Malm, and possible criminal charges as well, wouldn’t it make sense to at least take an independent look and see if it’s worth making further inquiry? At what other job could you get hired when your new boss knows that there are reasons to question your integrity?
It’s also worth noting that the contract to serve St. Peter’s is between Malm and the bishop, not Malm and the parish. So Gates is personally responsible for the decision.
There are some truly egregious ethical issues in The Episcopal Church.
If you have a moment, would you please let others know of our quest for justice? I am determined not to let Bob’s conduct towards my mother as she was dying not go unaddressed.
Thank you for all your encouragement and support.
