Great news to share tonight!
My House Bill Number 544 (amended version) pertaining to the involuntary committal for evaluation of people with addictive disease passed UNANIMOUSLY through the Georgia House Judiciary Committee on 3/9/2020.
Now, on to the House Rules Committee, and from there to the Full House for a vote, and if it passes there, on to the Senate for a vote.
We are well on our way to witnessing Ben's Bill become Leo's Law!!!
It's been a very long time coming, 3 years in the making, but I continue to fight for justice for my brother, Ben! It was a true travesty of justice that was inflicted upon him and our entire family..."A Complete System Failure!"
