Dear friends and supporters,
As of this evening, my proposed legislation is being drafted by the House Judiciary Committee legal counsel. Once approved by legal counsel, it will be put in Bill format to be dropped in the hopper to be read on the floor and assigned to committee.
In addition, I have been contacted by CARON Treatment Centers to receive an Unsung Hero Award for my contributions to the community at an Inaugural event in March.
I was recently interviewed my Georgia State University television to appear in a documentary series regarding the opioid epidemic. The piece is scheduled to air sometime in March or April on Comcast digital TV and on GSU TVs YouTube channel.
Finally, I have been contacted by Channel 46 news with regard to doing a story on my proposed legislation.
We currently have 163 signatures on the petition, and we continue to need more. Please feel free to share this online petition with your family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, any contacts that you think might be interested in helping Georgia eradicate the opioid epidemic!
