The Issue

I am Nåtus Ignis, an aspiring author who has spent the last five years developing a book series called The Jet Rangers. Writing and art are not just hobbies for me. They are how I learn, process the world, and hope to one day help others.

Pinterest has been my primary research and inspiration tool throughout this process. Over several years, I saved more than 20,000 pins related to storytelling, character design, themes, and visual inspiration. This account represented a significant amount of creative work and personal investment.

Without warning, my Pinterest account was deactivated for “child safety.” I am a minor myself, and no specific explanation, evidence, or example of a violating pin was provided. I was not shown what content caused the suspension, nor was I given an opportunity to correct or remove anything.

I attempted to appeal the decision multiple times. The appeal process was unclear, and the appeal link provided did not function properly. My messages were met with automated responses confirming the suspension, without addressing the lack of explanation or the technical issue preventing a proper appeal.

Some of my saved content addressed serious and sensitive themes related to mental health, which I used for research and responsible storytelling purposes. The intent was never to promote harm, but to portray difficult topics compassionately so people do not feel isolated or misunderstood.

This petition is not asking for special treatment. It is asking for transparency, due process, and a fair review. If content violates platform guidelines, users deserve to know what that content is and be given a chance to address it. Creative expression and research should not be penalized without clarity or communication.

I am asking Pinterest to review this case, provide a clear explanation for the suspension, and allow a proper appeal process to take place.
