WOW! With a few short weeks left before the Mayor introduces the budget, we already have over 1,000 people calling for Safer Streets & Smarter Spending in Oakland. Whether you signed the petition at:

• Coliseum, Fruitvale, Lake Merritt, MacArthur, Rockridge, or West Oakland BART stations or the Jack London Ferry
• At the events like Black Joy Parade, First Friday, the West Oakland Solidarity Roll Out, Farmers' markets, or Bike Party
• Seeing it in Oaklandside, social media, texts from friends, or alerts from our allies at the Sierra Club, Walk Oakland Bike Oakland, Alameda County Democratic Party, Senior & Disability Action, The Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club and Anti Police-Terror Project 
• Or just when out and about chatting with neighbors
