Hi everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Keemo.
This little bundle of joy, who touched so many people, was put down by those who took him away. We had no time, no warning, no compassion.
When I created this petition, it was to help my neighbour, Courtney, get her best friend back. I could never image the amount of support, messages, donations, etc. that we received. I truly understood how special Courtney and Keemo were to so many people - and how much this story touched those who didn't even know them. To each and every one, thank you.
I wish it didn't end like this. I wish we had had more time, more understanding. I wish Keemo was back walking the streets of Verdun, being a little ray of sunshine.
In the memory of Keemo, I propose we do more for Animal Rights. Let's all keep an eye out for each other, and for our pets. Let's push for better protective measures, for better understanding of animal behaviour and for better legislation. What happened to Keemo will not be unique, there will be others - and we cannot let this happen again.
Rest In Peace, Keemo.

C'est avec le cœur lourd que je vous annonce le décès de Keemo.
Ce petit paquet de joie, qui a touché tant de gens, a été abattu par ceux qui l'ont emmené. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps, nous n'avons pas été prévenus, nous n'avons pas eu de compassion.
Lorsque j'ai créé cette pétition, c'était pour aider ma voisine, Courtney, à récupérer son meilleur ami. Je n'aurais jamais pu imaginer la quantité de soutien, de messages, de dons, etc. que nous avons reçus. J'ai vraiment compris à quel point Courtney et Keemo étaient précieux pour beaucoup de gens - et à quel point cette histoire touchait ceux qui ne les connaissaient même pas. À chacun d'entre vous, merci.
J'aurais aimé que cela ne se termine pas ainsi. J'aurais aimé que nous ayons plus de temps, plus de compréhension. J'aurais aimé que Keemo soit de retour dans les rues de Verdun, comme un petit rayon de soleil.
En mémoire de Keemo, je propose que nous fassions plus pour les droits des animaux. Veillons les uns sur les autres et sur nos animaux de compagnie. Faisons pression pour de meilleures mesures de protection, pour une meilleure compréhension du comportement des animaux et pour de meilleures législations. Ce qui est arrivé à Keemo ne sera pas unique, il y en aura d'autres - et nous ne pouvons pas laisser cela se reproduire.
