Spring is here, according to the calendar, so kitten season will be here before you know it. Dogfighters have been killing cats and kittens since at least 2007:
- Leading up to the battle the dogs spend about six weeks in "the keep," or training period, according to police who have investigated dogfighting. Owners use expensive treadmills to get the dogs in fighting trim, and some use the carrot and stick approach—the carrot being a live cat suspended in front of the dog to keep it running. - 24 pit bulls and two kittens were rescued from Bexar County, Texas, dogfighter and repeat offender Terrance Moulton (KENS 5, San Antonio, 2013)
This petition originated because I caught Cleveland, Ohio, dogfighter Angelo McCoy using Craigslist to communicate with a woman who breeds kittens for his pitbulls to tear apart. He's killed dozens of cats and kittens since November 2020, and police/feds seized 860+ pitbulls from dogfighters in 2022 plus another 200+ this year. With thousands of people rehoming pets because of inflation, you can imagine how many cats, kittens, rabbits, dogs and other animals they've killed.
When you reply to Craigslist, Facebook and Next Door ads seeking kittens, cats, small-breed dogs and other animals or post your own pet on these sites/apps, you're advertising to people who are avoiding shelters that run background checks, make people sign adoption contracts with microchip numbers, copy people's driver's license, have security cameras and take photos of animals with new adopters. TLDR: You're replying or advertising to:
- dogfighters;
- people breeding kittens for dogfighters;
- psychopaths like Logan Cavender, Sean Robinson, Brendan Elwell, Kaine Louzader, Ronald Golden and Krystal Scott;
- pet flippers; and/or
- Craigslist scammers (both here and from overseas) who are using your photos and descriptions to scam people in other cities.
You'd help a lot of cats, kittens, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and other animals by continuing to share this petition and warning people that 30 percent of dogfighters are women. In addition to the school administrator and other women in that post, here's some more you may have never suspected:

The ASPCA, the Humane Society of the United States and Best Friends continue to turn a blind eye to the cats and kittens being killed while they rake in millions of dollars in donations, so if you're a cat mom, cat dad, cat owner or someone who loves all animals, please stop donating. Help your local spay/neuter clinic instead.
