Last week, police arrested Canton, Georgia, dogfighter Randall Thaxton and Blair, South Carolina, dogfighter David Erving. Thaxton had nine dogs; Erving had seven living pitbulls and one dead pitbull, bringing the total number of dogs seized from dogfighters this year to 835+. Those are just the people who were busted, and that number does not include pitbulls taken from dogfighters like Latrell Williams of Ruston, Louisiana, who made their local police blotter but not the news.
Cleveland, Ohio, dogfighter Angelo McCoy has killed dozens of cats and kittens since I caught him using Craigslist to communicate with one of several women collecting cats/breeding kittens for him in November 2020. How many cats, kittens, rabbits, small dogs, goats, pigs and chickens do you think 835+ pitbulls killed this year?

If you love animals, please:
- Share this petition with family, friends, coworkers and people on social media. You'd be surprised how many people are "rehoming" cats, kittens and other pets due to inflation and other excuses. (I've replied to over 38,000 Craigslist ads in the past two years.) When you post pets on Craigslist, Facebook, Next Door and other apps, you're advertising to people who are avoiding shelters that run background checks, make people sign adoption contracts with microchip numbers, copy people's driver's license, have security cameras and take photos of animals with new adopters. Dogfighters have spent years eluding police. You are not a challenge;
- Stop following/supporting Nathan Winograd;
- Donate to your local spay/neuter clinic -- or one of these folks and their pet(s) -- instead of the ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society of the United States.
You've given the ASPCA, Best Friends and HSUS millions of dollars:
Have they:
- warned people via their website, email blasts or social media that dogfighters are killing cats, kittens, rabbits and other animals?
-
pressured senators, representatives, governors, mayors and other politicians to change laws to ensure dogfighters get a lengthy prison sentence rather than a slap on the wrist?
-
pressured politicians to ban tethering, knowing dogfighters like 19-year-old dogfighter Joshua Mungo, who was busted with 40 pitbulls in North Carolina, aren't going to keep dozens of dogs in their house?
- pressured politicians to ban the importation/exportation of pitbulls, knowing dogfighters are shipping bloodlines around the world?
- posted/tweeted dogfighters' mugshots to show the thousands of people rehoming pets that women fight dogs, too?
- posted/tweeted dogfighters' mugshots to ask the public to report dogfighters' friends?
- posted/tweeted ways to spot dogfighters?
The answer is no. Instead, they use dogfighters' dogs to rake in donations:

and they spend thousands of dollars on sponsored ads to get you to donate more:
It is obscene for the ASPCA's CEO to take home nearly $1 million per year when both dogfighting and animal cruelty in general are out of control and evil people continue to get slaps on the wrist.
Please: Donate elsewhere this Christmas.
