First, Eric and his Mom really appreciate the support of such a large number of people. Many have gone so far as to offer to send funds to support Eric with this but it looks like this won't be needed, at least at the moment. As you might be able to tell from the earlier update the primary insurer (TRICARE as managed by United Health Group) has agreed to fund the chair. What we do not have resolved is the need for a track mobility system for the new home that Eric's Mother is building (it's under construction now in fact) there is the possibility that Medicaid will fund this but it is "irregular" that they would fund it when a building is under construction. There is a significant benefit and saving for this being done as the home is being built as the structural members as needed can be beefed up and there won't be any demolition to install the system. The family may need help with this in the near future, if so we'll ask.
Eric is presently waiting for an appointment at which he'll be "fitted" for his new chair. Once this is done it'll be ordered and should arrive shortly...
