Victory! Commissioners Deny Rezoning – Will Landowner Accept Ruling?

The Elbert County Board of Commissioners decided against rezoning our sacred burial grounds at Pinetown Cemetery. 

This is a major victory that means development cannot move forward at this time.

However, the developer who owns the property can still appeal, and the court allows 30 days for this process. 

So what now?

So we wait.

We do as we have always done.

We watch and pray. 

We go on living.

But since we still do not have access to our ancestral burial grounds, we really appreciate your continued support.
