Durham region refuses to change 1635 to anything but a dangerous experimental low-barrier shelter

Thank you to everyone who delegated yesterday.
Yesterday's Regional meeting lasted over 9 hours as delegation after delegation passionately supported the motion to remove the Low Barrier status from the proposed 1635 Dundas Experimental Low Barrier Project. Unfortunately, most Regional councilors outside Whitby, including our own Mayor Elizabeth Roy, voted against it.
Our fight for Whitby's safety continues, and we need everyone's presence at the upcoming Whitby town hall meeting, even if you are not delegating (speaking). Your support is essential!
