WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We need you to share this petition with your friends and family in Adams County, we need you and your friends and family to email our commissioners. Please have every single household member over 18, sign the petition and email the commissioners!! The commissioners are watching this petition! The solar companies are working hard to get the ordinances, that our Plan Committee created, changed so this would allow open doors for them to come into our county. The Plan Committee’s ordinances are sitting with our commissioners pending approval, rejection, or amendment. Rumor has it they may possibly reject the ordinances. If they do reject or amend them it will open our county up for industrial solar and potentially wind turbine farms. DO WE WANT THIS IN OUR COUNTY???? NO!!! It does not make sense to turn food producing ground into solar farms. There is a place for solar farms, but that place is not on agricultural farm ground. I do not have a problem with putting them on already zoned industrial ground, but to turn agricultural ground into industrial ground does not make sense! We want the commissioners to pass, without any amendments, the Plan Committee’s ordinances. This needs to be done asap, because this is turning into a mess in our county already and it has not even begun! Invenergy, one of the solar companies, is sending out fliers, placing ads, and will have a booth at the 4H fair to promote their agenda. Again, we do not want this in our county! The $$ are not worth decades of solar farms taking up prime farm ground. The solar companies even admitted once they complete the project it is sold to the highest bidder and can change hands numerous times. This mess will be left to our children to clean up. Do you want to be like Jay County and have a solar farm 150’ away from your property line? We need to stand up and fight. Please help us do so!!
