Next stop is Adoption! so that he has our last name. Kevin Henry Stepteau! 

We are truly thankful to the Lord for his hand in this situation. He told us from day one he was our forever child but as foster parents we knew it was our duty to focus on reunification with his birthmother. As we began to build that relationship with her, SHE made the decision to file an affidavit for us to become his forever parents. DCFS gave us so much grief in this process. Today’s hearing was 5 hours long as they cross examined our motives and intent as foster parents. 

We are sooooo glad this part of the chapter is CLOSED!!!
