Miral, who started this petition, along with her partner Nouran, is currently in the hospital after experiencing terrible pain and coughing up blood, also fainting a few times. Since the 6th of December, the hospitals in Toronto have been discharging her the same day she comes in after showing a slight improvement in her health, only for her to return in a worse state than before. Yesterday, after insisting, they admitted her to the Toronto Western Hospital. They keep telling her that they might discharge her until they get her an endoscopy in 2 weeks. Every time they go to the hospital they have to rush with an Uber as the ER ambulance would cost them more. She currently can't walk properly because of her weakened muscles and the fear is that she would be discharged when she is in this condition. We're asking you to help us find someone who can help them through this process and if there is a doctor who can oversee her case or a social worker that could advocate for them since they're refugees who lack the money and stability to be discharged without finding the real cause of her pain and administering the proper treatment she needs.
