It's been over a year now since our son Richard was lost when travelling on a P&O ferry. He went on the deck for a cigarette and have never been seen since. We still don't know if he fell or jumped or was pushed from the deck.
We want to thank you for signing our petition for P&O to install CCTV on its ferries. We believe if CCTV was installed we would know what happened to Richard and the rescue services would have had a chance of finding him.
Last week we were interviewed on BBC News about the campaign: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-27987162
We launched the petition in November and now have over 96,000 signatures. We want to reach 100,000 signatures to take our campaign to the next level. We are continuing to lobby P&O to take action on this issue. And we are rallying support from MPs and MEPs to get the legislation that will be needed to get ferry operators to install CCTV.
Please share the petition with your friends and family: www.change.org/POFerries
