Todd McNair Lawsuit: NCAA motion to overturn judge overturned

There was an important decision in yesterday's case pitting former USC coach Todd McNair against the NCAA for defamation. The NCAA has been working hard to delay the case, and had previously successfully been granted a motion to change the judge - since he went to USC he must be biased they said. Well the California 2nd district court of appeal disagreed, and has allowed judge to stay on, paving the way for McNair to have his day in court. The reason this is important to our cause is that largely Todd McNair and also Reggie Bush are the scapegoats that the NCAA used for USC's "culture of abuse" as claimed. Unfortunately the NCAA bias towards USC was the real culture, and the sooner McNair has his day in court or gets closer to that, the more the NCAA will want to settle. Settling means rather than a potential decision against them for 100s of millions of dollars, they may be willing (as they did with Penn St.) to restore USC's vacated wins; and make our guy Reggie Bush "eligible" again during the 2004, paving the way for the return of his trophy and removal of any tainting against the program.
