Edit: While there are distinct differences in the venom and behavior of bees vs. wasps and hornets, many people are allergic to all of them. For the sake of keeping things simple, I want to acknowledge this difference and include this info for those who need it. In my update, I lump them all in the same category because they can all cause allergic reactions.... and I'm not a fan of any of them :) -K First, thank you to everyone who has signed!! At 200k, this petition is being emailed directly to Ms. Bresch, whether she wants it or not. Last Sunday, I was taking things out of a box in my Mom's yard for the yard sale we are doing. It was humid, but overcast and windy--not really prime bee day. As I squatted next to the box, a yellow jacket wasp came up and stung me so many times that I had blood running down my leg. I tried to treat it as quickly as possible in the moment, but in reality, I haven't been stung since I was a kid of 8 or 9 years old-- 22 or 23 years ago. Since then, I developed cellulitis, and I'm currently on antibiotics. My brother, had he been sitting where I was, would have needed an EpiPen. I've been told by 2 doctors and 3 health care professionals that I may need an EpiPen one day as well for bee stings. This was me out in the yard on a bee-less day getting stung to Hell. It happened SO quickly. This is why we need to have the EpiPen drug on hand, my friends. Life can change in an instant!!
