Gadolinium Toxicity Advocate Dies at Age 61
Oct 18, 2017 — In a recent article published on Worldnetdaily.com, Chuck Norris reports on the sudden death of Marcie Jacob on Oct. 2, 2017. Marcie was a major leader in spreading public awareness about the toxicity of gadolinium-based MRI contrast agents (GBCA).
Due to her family history, Marcie was at high risk for developing breast cancer so had been monitored with serial MRIs since 2001, for a total of 12 scans. After receiving a few injections of the MRI contrast, gadolinium, Marcie began noticing cognitive difficulties. Math skills which came easy to her as a finance manager began deteriorating. As Marcie did not relate these symptoms to gadolinium, she continued to have screening MRIs. In 2015, when the FDA finally reported that gadolinium could be deposited and retained in the brain, she realized there might be a connection and was tested for gadolinium retention. It was found in her breast, thigh, liver and brain. Despite embarking on an extended program to remove the metal from her body, Marcie eventually became completely disabled due to its accumulating effects.
That same year, Marcie started an organization called MRI Gadolinium Toxicity Illnesses, which can be found on Facebook. In that forum, hundreds of other people with gadolinium-related problems have shared their experiences. Marcie became one of the leading opponents of gadolinium-based contrast agents. Recently Chuck Norris and his wife Gena, joined forces with Marcie in their fight against the use of gadolinium after Gena also suffered debilitating symptoms from the agent. In Marcie’s last post on her Facebook site on Sept. 19, 2017, she shared an article by the Wall Street Journal which reported on the harmful effects of gadolinium.
Unfortunately, Marcie’s condition worsened and she died suddenly of a massive heart attack at age 61 just a few short weeks ago.
In an interview, Marcie’s daughter stated, “The gadolinium issue was the most important thing to her. She was making waves, and we supported her all the way. What we and my mom would want more than anything else is for others to pick up the anti-GBCA baton and carry on her legacy until it is a massive movement the medical industry and Big Pharma can’t avoid!”
