This is a worrying judgment not only for whistleblowers but for striking doctors. Everyone should also remember the Medical Act gives the GMC all rights to do whatever it takes to investigate doctors. When they admitted to a discreet inquiry that was unlawful in Pal v GMC, they tried to get away with it by saying it was all in the public interest. To date, I do not know the extent this discreet inquiry went. I suspect that the GMC will be keeping a record of striking doctors' internet activities through their livelink system. http://ukhumanrightsblog.com/2016/01/14/surveillance-of-internet-usage-in-the-workplace/
