Despite threats issued by the dastardly General Medical Council and the Department of Health via the media, the UK's junior doctors have proven that they do not fear authority. This is an extremely brave stance taken by doctors who do care about patient safety. Moreover, never in the history of medicine have doctors set such high standards which show the country that 1. That they care about patient safety 2. That they will not be bullied 3. That they will always stand by what they believe to be right. The petition for strike action has been led to victory.
