I not sure what the GMC does with their lives. Their employees get private health insurance and often don't read. Real cases of neglect are ignored. Instead the GMC engages in sex cases and silly behaviour related cases. Since R v General Medical Council ex Parte Pal, these silly cases have been more frequent. Even though I won my own case at the GMC, I had gone to court to balance the interests of the complaint and doctor. I did win permission for the Judicial Review. Sadly, because I had a judge who didn't think, I lost the case. Many may mock my loss in this case but the saddest part about that case is that the flood gates against doctors opened giving the GMC wider powers to investigate anything.
