Independent Victorian Senator John Madigan, the instigator of a landmark inquiry into Lyme-like illness that kicked off in Perth this week, says “one suicide is a suicide too many”. “I don’t want to see any more people in that much hopelessness and despair. These people are genuinely suffering and they are being treated like lepers in their own country,” Madigan says.
