The Lyme petition was handed to the Federal Health Minister - Sussan Ley 3 weeks ago. What an honor to have Senator John Madigan hand it to her office on behalf of the 42,500 signatories. Thank you AGAIN for your support! Senator Madigan has been the strongest voice for Lyme disease in Parliament raising a Senate Inquiry which took around 1000 submissions. With an election looming, it is imperative that Lyme disease be a priority in Canberra and the great work started by Senator Madigan continue. Other MP’s and Senators are starting to take note and be proactive on the issue but what does that mean following the election? To have Senator Madigan back in Parliament for another term ensures Lyme disease has a loyal Lyme leader. There are however no guarantees that this will happen.
