Dear C4UK supporter - Today the US Senate are debating the use of intravenous vitamin C in all ICUs following a report of a group of leading critical care experts reporting almost zero deaths of those without concomitant end-stage other diseases. The world-wide multi-centre REMAP-CAP study had added a vitamin C ‘arm’ but, as far as we know, not one ICU in the UK has signed up.
The UK not only leads the world in deaths per capita, but also has the worst death/recovery rate and the highest percentage of deaths from ICUs, namely 49% leave dead, increasing to 62% for those put on ventilators, according the Intensive Care National Audit report published this week.
