I know I owed you a update for some time so here we go: Locally - We are working on a new and improved bill to be submitted to the 2017 Hawaii State Legislature! Nationally 2 weeks ago the Republicans passed the most homophobic, bi-phobic, transphobic, anti-LGBT platform to date & in their platform was a call to require conversion therapy for all LGBT community members! In comparison the Democrats passed the most progressive and LGBTQ inclusive platform to date. So the choice is clear if you support LGBTQ justice and equality the GOP is not for you. On this note there is a new petition out there calling the Human Rights Campaign to switch their endorsement from the GOP candidate in Illinois' US Senate race to longtime ally and Democratic candidate Tammy Duckworth. We hope that you will sign it because if we are ever going to ban conversion therapy in all 50 states we will need the support of a Democratic controlled Senate especially since they are the ones that approve the President' appointment to the US Supreme Court!
