Regular readers of our updates will have seen the full photo, from which this is taken, on a previous report. This is the ‘trick or treat’ which faces 260,000 disabled people in our country today. The treat?... an accessible Changing Places toilet room, suitably sized and equipped with hoist, bench etc. But the trick... you have to search high and low to find one (this was the only one of four in a busy area of the north west open on a Saturday afternoon) and if and when you do find it, it may, as this one was, be locked with no one knowing the location of the key. Not funny is it? So whether you observe the antics of Hallowe’en or not, please spare a thought for those who put up with the grim reality of inadequate toilet facilities when they are out and about every day. Please keep supporting Zack and his efforts. The message is getting through slowly! And we are sooooo close to 100,000 signatures now!
