Well I don't quite know where to start today. It's all been a bit of a whirlwind, quite apart from storm Ophelia outside! This morning I received an email from a nurse who I know well, asking if I would be willing to do a presentation to a group of student nurses at Chester University in January! So that's the first date booked into my 2018 diary already! A quick search on the Internet and I found out that the promised article had appeared in the 'Lancashire Telegraph' today. The online version featured 6 photos and an update about my campaign. It still referred to my condition as a 'mystery illness' and once again said that I am a student at Beaumont College, but I guess I can forgive them two mistakes for the pros of having a 1/2 page article about me! You can read it here: http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/15593716.Thousands_support_21_year_old__39_s_campaign_to_improve_conditions_for_disabled_people/#gallery0 Another friend messaged with good news that he'd seen about the new Oldham Coliseum theatre to be built in Oldham town centre. It will be fully accessible and will include a Changing Place toilet. This is great news, although there's another 2 years to wait. At the moment this will be Oldham's first and only Changing Place!! https://www.artsprofessional.co.uk/magazine/308/case-study/all-welcome-coliseum I then had a meeting with the managers of my supported living provider company and they brought news that their offer on my soon-to-be new bungalow has been accepted and that work will be starting on the adaptations as soon as the present occupant has moved out. Exciting times! I can't wait to have my own place, and now it's finally happening! All this excitement! I need a sleep! Keep sharing, retweeting and telling all your family and friends! Thanks Zack
