Given the turmoil in the UK elections, I am encouraging my supporters to campaign to move Corbyn aside and replace him with John McDonnell. Then, the Lib Dems and Green Party supporters plus Conservative Remainers will join with Labour after the December election and make John McDonnell the next UK Prime Minister.

He will then sensibly relate necessary public expenditure to what the UK's mixed market economy could afford. Corbyn and Swinson are no doubt decent people especially when compared with Farage and Johnson. However neither shows great leadership nor charismatic qualities. Corbyn's Labour manifesto mentions the six letter word market 12 times but only in negative terms and only once positively with an agricultural market that he will support. Corbyn does not realise that agriculture consists only of 0.6% of the UK economy. He doesn’t mention services and has always ignored the fact that 70 to 80 percent of the UK economy consists of services. These are already being severely hit by Brexit sentiments.

I have been with John McDonnell several times over the years and noted his honesty, social responsibility and clear foresight. Yes he wishes to improve the UK distribution of income and direct income from greed to need. But he does understand the market economy. He has also come down firmly on the side of Remain which, according to polls, is a winning strategy. So he will take Labour off the fence in regards to the EU and link with the Liberal Party as well as keep Scotland and Ireland within the United Kingdom.

Corbyn should show his decency and step aside to allow John McDonnell to take Labour to a coalition with the Lib Dems, the Greens, the SNP and Labour followers in Northern Ireland.
