Sorry to be quite for a while as the buffoonery of the UK Brexit process continues.  I was wandering around Europe, lecturing and listening in Romania, France, Switzerland, Georgia, Spain and Portugal. In ecah country people are appalled at the mess the UK politicians have created over the EU.

In Georgia (Tblisi) for instance...the Russians are rattling their sabres such as banning Russian airlines to fly into Georgia, and rejecting Georgian wine imports in an attempt to ruin the Georgian tourist trade.  The Georgians are brave but nervous and see little support coming from their new allies since they joined Schengen, and of course nothing from USA and little or nothing from a BREXIT dominated UK.

Well at least Corbyn has finaly come around to something to do with Remain as his worried associates McDonnell and Watson finally see sense coming back to the Labour view and adopting (sort of) a Remain position.

My view, as it has always been, is for Parliamnt to vote on BREXIT in a free vote...1. Reject Article 50, 2. Vote for Remain 3. and my last choice vote for a Brexit with a deal (the latter really stupid since as in Switzerland you get the EU rules but cant be involved in changing them - but stupid is as stupid does and a heck of a lot better than a ridiculous Johnson no deal BREXIT).

So please sign this petition and lets make another and louder noise to protect our democracy. Thanks. Michael.
