As Roger Cohen writes in the New York Times today: "The bottom line is simple: Brexit has been, is and will be a disaster for Britain. The 2016 vote was manipulated through lies. A country that has benefited from its 46-year participation in a union of more than a half-billion Europeans is drifting toward a self-amputation understood by few, opposed by the young, abetted by a dissembling anti-American Labour leader, driven by little-England Tory right-wingers holding the country for ransom, and, according to polls, no longer wanted by the majority."
The best option in my view is to have an open vote in Parliament. As my graph shows, 73% of all MPs favoured Remain in 2016 and I suspect the percentage is higher today. Now if I am wrong at least there will be a democratic vote by our highest body. If they vote leave, they will be wrong all their lives as will suffer their children's children.
So lets stop the nonsense and have an open vote in the UK House of Parliament. Corbyn can vote Brexit, so can May, so can Rees Mogg, so can Boris Johnson. Let them be confined to the dustbin of history, but please NOT our country!
