McDonnell, Labour's Deputy, has thrown his hat into the Basic Income for everyone ring. When pressed on the prospect of a fresh public vote on the final Brexit deal – something Labour has consistently refused to rule out – Mr McDonnell said that while the party is “always up for some form of democratic engagement” his preference would be for a general election. Fence sitting as ever...the issue is far too important to waffle about..end of March 2019 is approaching. Thus, subsidies aside, I continue to be appalled that Labour provides almost zero opposition on BREXIT to the Tories i.e at the most important juncture in British politics since 1939...there is no opposition to the ruinous Pariament ... UK now has a Labour Party that worries more about subsidies such as BI and getting Corbyn in as a ruinous PM...please bring back Harold Wilson, Michael Foot, Robin Cook, Nye Bevin etc etc McDonnell seems powerless and not impressive..so he is grasping at straws? Wont work sorry.
