Why does Murdoch wish the death of Britain? What did we do to him? A large part of the British people see BREXIT as totally boring and just another TV show. Dont they realise that the UK is heading toward 25% unemployment, lower living standards and the poodle of Europe? With Putin threatening and his manipulated 'friend' Trump coming to town can my dear countrymen and women think past the World Cup? Hopefully 'it' will come home but home to what? A BREXIT led economic and social disaster? Madeleine Allbright's new book on 'Fascism: A Warning' traces her fears especially for Britain. The Guardian today writes 'Albright is a friend to the country which took in her family when she was a young girl, but believes that true friends owe you their candour. She’s clear that Brexit – “an exercise in economic masochism that Britons will long regret” – is a terrible mistake. “I happen to think it’s a tragedy. I’m not sure how or why it happened. I think some of it was miscalculation. From an American perspective – and this is somewhat selfish and self-centred – the UK has always been our bridge to the continent and very important in all kinds of aspects.” Burning down that bridge is not sensible. “I think it’s unfortunate, I really do.” Much of politics and diplomacy is a story of “unintended consequences of decisions and this is one of the big ones”. Unlucky Britain is also subject to the worst set of politicians ever to head these shores. Formerly 'Remainers' May, Corbyn and his sidekick McDonnell, are all sitting on the fence waiting for power to stay or fall into their hands. But what will they do with their power? So far continue the 'terrible mistake'. A misguided referendum should not be allowed to dictate such a major event.
