Democracy works best when the majority win and the minority get their say. Democracy also means changing views as information and experience grows. Sometimes the democratic views run behind what's 'right' sometimes not, but it can always change. Hanging in the UK was always more popular among the British population than its Parliament, but (happily) was banned in any case. The BREXIT referendum in June 2016 is widely regarded as a huge mistake yet calls for a new referendum fall upon deaf ears especially from the extreme right wing (and the rich ones at that) including Boris Johnson who has great difficulty with facts and might even achieve his dream of becoming Prime Minister. That would certainly be a non-democratic decision. All I ask is for the UK Parliament to vote on revoking Article 50 so as to bring sanity and prosperity back to the UK. No the EU is not perfect, not democratic but it is successful and sorely needs a democratic UK back in its fold. I am now going to do something I have never done before and ask you dear supporter to contribute a little to this campaign to bring democracy back to the UK and STOP BREXIT. I have seen with change.org that each time I put in GBP10, that I get an additional 40 to 50 supporters. On the same rationale if you, dear supporter, could put in one pound that would lead to 4 or 5 more supporters...if everyone of the 1423 people who signed up for this petitions put in GBP1 we would have 5 to 7000 supporters, GBP 5 30,000 and GBP10 70,000. I make no money myself out of all this by the way, it's just I want my (our) country to be Great Britain again! Thanks. Michael. Feb 20 2018
