Yes there are some very minor tensions in rural France from a very few ignoramasuses because of her beautiful colour but most welcome her with great warmth and respect. When buying potatoes a few years back from the local market (the French are very keen on the type of potato and its taste) she was asked what she would do with them. 'A manger (to eat)' she retorted. The chuckles continue to this day years later and she is always the first to be served at the local vegetable market stall! The French, are not perfect, but they are well educated, generally polite and always have time for a friendly and humourous banter. BREXIT is not top of their agenda but few French would welcome the withdrawal of Britain.
