Not only is the UK now the sick man of Europe with lower economic growth than the other major economies, the Irish question that has dominated UK politics for 3-400 years, is back! Ireland and Northern Ireland have hundreds of free 'border' crossings. Both countries want to keep that. However, a UK that includes Northern Ireland, wants closed borders as part of its BREXIT. This has always been a nonsense and just another potential broken link in the BREXIT chain. The Democratic Unionist party, whose support is propping up May’s government, warned on Saturday 'it would never accept a post-Brexit deal that would effectively see a customs border pushed back to the Irish Sea.' The former Remainer May has repeatedly made clear that Britain will leave the single market and customs union. End result: Goodbye Northern Ireland. Will Scotland go the same way?
