Florence and Italy will survive, despite hardship, thanks to the EU. I for one dont like the Euro since it takes away the possibility of devaluation from a declining economy. Greece obviously suffered from that fact but, happily, the UK still has its pound. And, guess what, it can keep the pound when it finally re-joins the EU as, indeed, it must to survive. More evidence for the urgent need to reject Brexit came from May's tired Florence speech on Sept 22 2017. As 'The Observer' on Sept 24 wrote 'Michel Barnier, the EU’s negotiator, has been unfailingly clear that there is a trade-off between sovereignty and access that Britain must confront. The more unfettered access Britain wants after it leaves, the more it must be a rule-taker; the more control it wants over its own borders, the greater an economic hit it must take.' But in Florence, The Observer continued, 'Rather than confront this trade-off, May simply continued to plead for Britain to have its cake and eat it.' No way so sorry. And Boris? His red bus and his lies continue as he still states that the UK will save 350million a week. Mind you as the pound devalues in a weak UK maybe that will be only 350,000 Euros? In the meantime Theresa May promises to pay the EU 40billion...Pounds or Euros dear lady?
