What an amazing response. There are now over 1200 signed supporters demanding that Hastings Borough Council, the elected custodians of this precious space, listens to the concerns of the local community BEFORE signing contracts with the developer.

We dispute that any meaningful consultation took place before this site was placed on the Local Development Plan in 2014. Only two objections were received at that time, which compared to the 1800 members on St Leonards SOBS � Facebook page and 1200 signatures on the latest petition demonstrates the complete lack of effort HBC put in to engage with residents.

We have written to HBC asking them how the petition should be formally submitted and when it will receive consideration by the councilors. We will keep you updated
