Observer Building - Community meeting this evening

A community meeting for saving the Observer Building is being held this evening between 6.30 to 8.30pm (at either the Printworks or basement of Rock House). You are receiving the news of this event as you have shown a clear interest in saving the building by signing the petition "Place a Compulsory Purchase Order on the Observer Building, Hastings".

The Observer Building is back on the market with planning approved for 49 "stylish loft apartments" with ZERO affordable units! The asking price is £1.5m, and the agents have already received and are considering offers.
There is a chance that the building could be rescued and brought into community ownership, with the vision to revive and protect the vibrant community space and events programme, and at the same time provide long-term genuinely affordable housing and creative workspace in the remainder of the building.
Time is tight for this vision to be realised and for it to have any chance we need to be organised and ready, now.
Location TBA - either Printworks or basement of Rock House - meet in the alley to find out!
Time and Date - Monday, 24 September 2018 from 18:30-20:30
